About the Production

In April and May of 2000, Sam's Restaurant hosted a series of Thursday night cabarets featuring the lyrics of Nan Knighton. The show included collaborations with Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Howard Marren (Paramour), Jonathan Larson (Rent), Robert Lindsey Nassif (Eliot Ness in Cleveland), Martyn Axe, Fred Werner and Tim DiPasqua. Stephen Kaplan and Dale Badway were production supervisors, Damian Conte was the audio engineer and Ken Lundie was the musical director.

There was a rotating roster of performers for these shows, which included: Farah Alvin (Saturday Night Fever, Nine), Tom Andersen (Multiple MAC Award Winner), Bryan Batt (Fever, Pimpernel), Carolee Carmello (Pimpernel, Finding Neverland, Tuck Everlasting), James Carpinello (Fever, Rock of Ages), Gilles Chiasson (Pimpernel, Rent), Rob Evan (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Misérables), Tovah Feldshuh (Yentl, Lend Me A Tenor, Pippin), Dee Hoty (Footloose, Will Rogers Follies), Alix Korey (The Wild Party, Fiddler on the Roof), Marc Kudisch (Pimpernel, 9 to 5, Hand to God), Frank Mastrone (Fever, Jekyll & Hyde), Kevyn Morrow (Pimpernel, The Color Purple), Nancy Opel (Triumph Of Love, Urinetown), Orfeh (Fever, Legally Blonde), Brad Oscar (Jekyll & Hyde, The Producers, Something Rotten!), Paige Price (Beauty and the Beast, Fever), Anne Runolfsson (The Dead, Victor/Victoria), Kate Shindle (Jekyll & Hyde, Legally Blonde), Chris Sieber (Triumph Of Love, Spamalot) and Rachel York (Pimpernel, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels).
